Highway 69 is closed due to a tractor trailer fire.
The O.P.P is reporting that the accident happened between Highway 529 and Harris Lake Road.
There is no expected time for the highway to re-open.
Callers into the station are saying they’ve been stuck in stand-still traffic for half an hour, and that nothing is moving in either direction.
The O.P.P. is currently on scene.
UPDATE 2:00 p.m.
According to Britt Fire Captain David Breadner traffic will be moving in the next 15 minutes.
The truck fire has started a bush fire, which Britt Fire is dealing with at the moment.
The MNRF is on the way with a helicopter to assist their efforts.
Northbound traffic is currently backed up to Moose Lake Lodge.
UPDATE 3:30 p.m.
According to the O.P.P the highway is now fully open and traffic is moving in both directions.
