Local snowmobile club gets new equipment in time to start grooming the trails

The Six Star Snow Riders club in Mactier has some new equipment to groom its trails, courtesy of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs.  Over the weekend, officials with the Shop Industrial met with SSSR Club President Scott Gibson to present the Husky Prinoth 177 groomer and a 2016 Mogul Master drag for the Parry Sound Snowmobile District trail club.  Gibson says the timing is perfect as the club is planning on beginning grooming operations of their trail this week.  The new equipment will be paired with their 2007 BR 180 groomer which also has a Mogul Master drag.  The OFSC will continue to be the owner of the new equipment as it is used for District 10 trails.  Gibson says trails remain closed due to the unsafe conditions of lakes and swamps.
