Seguin Councillor Ted Collins has resigned from the Park to Park Trail Association board.
At Monday night’s council meeting, Collins delivered a statement accepting full responsibility for the damages of a Side-by Side vehicle in July. He told council and the public that the Park to Park Trail Association board asked him to pay $2,500 for repairs to the vehicle which he has paid. The total bill for the damages was over $5,000.
The crash has resulted in charges to Collins and he apologized to both the board and council for this distraction and his silence up to this point.
Finally, he informed everyone that he would resign from the Park to Park Trail Association board. Councillor Dale Graves will fill in as the Seguin Township representative on the board.
