Staff for the Town of Parry Sound will be looking into how to best compost as a community.
Council voted at last night’s meeting to have the Director of Public Works prepare a report and recommendation on the feasibility of establishing a commercial, institutional, and multi-residential composting facility in town.
As part of the report, council would also like to know the cost of sending Parry Sound’s compost to an existing facility in Muskoka if a compost facility is not feasible.
A report will come back to council for considerations in the 2017 budget deliberations.
