The NDP want the Wynne Liberals to do a better job of protecting seniors in old age homes. The demand comes from France Gelinas the member for Nickel Belt. Gelinas told the Legislature about a senior who spent the last few days of his life in excruciating pain because of bedsores. The New Democrat says the incident is now part of a legal claim involving the home and several clients. Health minister Doctor Eric Hoskins says the Liberals are working on resolving nursing home problems.
