Locked out Children’s Aid workers hope arbitration resolves workload issues

Locked out Parry Sound Children’s Aid Workers are hoping to follow in the footsteps of their Peel coworkers.

CAS workers in Peel agreed to provincial arbitration to settle a three month long contract dispute.

The arbitration resulted in a limit of cases per month for Children’s Aid Workers.

The increasing workload was a major factor in contract talks falling apart for Parry Sound and Nipissing CAS.

CAS workers in Parry Sound and Nipissing have been locked out since December 23rd.
