The Southern Georgian Bay OPP says it stayed busy over the Labour Day weekend.
Officers were out in force this weekend ensuring driver safety on roads and highways.
The Labour Day Distracted Driving campaign took place from September 1 to 4. The OPP says no distracted or impaired driving charges were laid over the weekend but speeding was a problem for some drivers.
In the three day campaign, officers laid 78 charges for excessive speeding. Two charges were laid for stunt driving, four charges were handed out for seatbelt violations. Eighteen other charges were handed out for moving violations and other Highway Traffic Act related infractions.
