Conditions are favourable today for funnel clouds in Parry Sound and the surrounding area.
That’s according to Environment Canada, who say the unseasonably cool air mass in the area is to blame for these conditions.
Weather advisories have been issued across the province. On top of a chance for funnel clouds, some thunderstorms across Southern Ontario will bring dime sized hail, and wind gusts up to 70 km/h.
Environment Canada is asking the public to take any funnel cloud sighting seriously. If a funnel cloud develops, Environment Canada says to take shelter. Funnel clouds typically appear with very little warning.
