Parry Sound Soapbox Derby will be the first of many

The first Parry Sound Soapbox Derby was a rousing success.

That’s according to Community Recreation Programs Coordinator Brad Weiler. He says over 20 people took part in the various races down William Street, but many more just came to watch.

The races all took place Saturday.

Weiler says because of the success of this years event, the town is looking at bringing it back in following years.

8-10 Class

11-15 Class

1^st – Emily Macdonald

2^nd – Soren Howald

3^rd – Sarah Seymour

16+ Class

1^st – Serge Bouthilette
