PARRY SOUND GOES GREENER WITH NEW HANGING BASKETS

Parry Sound is about to get the latest in self-watering hanging baskets

Parks and Recreation Manager, April McNamara spoke on behalf of the department about the $10,000 project to Parry Sound Town Council last week.

Asked by Councillor Doug McCann about why the department chose their supplier through single-sourcing, McNamara said it was the best option.

Eliminating the need for daily watering, the new baskets will not only save water, but the associated fuel and labour costs.

Based on Winnipeg’s experience with the supplier, the new baskets are expected to last 10 years.
