Work will go ahead for the relocation of the gas pipe at The Bobby Orr Community Centre.
Parry Sound Town Council at its meeting last week approved the project, designed to improve the capacity of the line as well as avert another gas leak.
Parry Sound Director of Development and Leisure Services, Lynn Middaugh also says the current pipe is also undersized, a glaring oversight that happened during the centre’s last renovation.
Money for the project will come out of the Building Replacement Fund.
No completion date has yet been set.
