The New Year brings in free prescription meds for Ontario’s children and young adults.
Ontario’s OHIP+ program takes effect January 1st, helping struggling families and youth by providing free medication to anyone 24 years old and younger.
Minister of Health Eric Hoskins says the program covers a broad range of medications.
All you need is a valid health card and a doctor’s prescription to get meds at no charge at any pharmacy.

Ontario is the first province to offer universal Pharmacare for children and youth and Minister Hoskins hopes other provinces will follow Ontario’s lead.
