Northeast Region OPP is still investigating three separate fatal car crashes that took four lives.
All of the collisions happened within a 24 hour period between January 3rd and 4th.
OPP Sergeant Carlo Berardi says the crashes occurred right across the region north of Parry Sound.
A head-on collision on Highway 17 in East Ferris on Thursday, January 4 at 7 am took the lives of both drivers.
Sergeant Berardi points out that while road and weather conditions contribute to fatal crashes, many can be prevented if proper care is taken by the driver.
Berardi says while the three collisions are still under investigation, he can’t comment on them specifically.
He does caution though, some drivers are just not focussed on their driving.
Locally, West Parry Sound OPP is reporting recent collisions in the area are the direct result of speeding in poor conditions and are encouraging safe driving.
