Heavy snowfall is expected to create poor visibility and road conditions for area highways.

The Parry Sound region is getting a bit of a break from frigid conditions this week.

With the extreme cold warning being lifted from the area on Sunday, temperatures are expected to hover around minus five degrees during the week.

You could see a high of zero degrees on Monday and plus one by Thursday.

With much of the New Year being spent under an extreme cold warning, the warmer temperatures are a much needed break for car batteries right around the region.

Colder temperatures are expected to return by the weekend.
