Near North Crime Stoppers has new numbers on cases you’ve helped solve.
NNCS Coordinator Jean Lemieux says most of the tips they’ve received are drug-related.
Lemieux reports that more than $170,500 in illegal drugs was seized in 2017 compared to $295,000 for 2016. As well, your anonymous tips led to the arrest of 23 people last year compared to 36 for 2016.
Lemieux cautions that these numbers might be deceiving.
A total of 615 tips were received last year compared to 587 for 2016, leaving the potential for larger seizure and arrest numbers for 2017.
