Sudbury’s Health Sciences North is revolutionizing prostate cancer treatment in northeastern Ontario.
The hospital’s Northeast Cancer Centre unveiled its TrueBeam Radiotherapy System last month and is the only one in Northeastern Ontario.
Dr. Ryan Carlson, Radiation Oncologist at Health Sciences North, says more precise imaging technology will give cancer patients better results.
Dr. Carlson also says this precision will also mean fewer radiation treatments.

The TrueBeam Radiotherapy System is the result of a partnership between the Northeast Cancer Centre and the Northern Cancer Foundation together with Cancer Care Ontario.
