West Parry Sound OPP and students from Parry Sound High School are facing-off for the United Way.
The First Annual Panther Classic hockey game features two teams made up of a mix of students and members of the detachment.
Money raised will go to the local Unity Way, the world-wide charity that supports many programs in the Parry Sound region.
The game had been previously scheduled to be played in December.
West Parry Sound OPP Constable Kyle Ney says police are looking forward to the game and the goodwill it will bring.
The teams will be coached by Parry Sound High School Principal Dawn Buckland and OPP Staff Sergeant Mike Gordon. The game will also feature a skills competition featuring both squads.
The puck drops at 1:00 pm at the Bobby Orr Community Centre on Thursday, January 18.
Admission is a non-perishable food item or a monetary donation.
