Scouting is poised to make a return to the Parry Sound region.
Scouts Canada will be holding an open house this weekend to recruit volunteers and to let local youth discover what scouting is all about.
Recruitment is being led by Bradford Ontario resident Lloyd George who along with his wife, will be retiring to the Parry Sound region this year.
The long-time scout hopes to re-establish scouting in the Parry Sound area.

George says scouting today is more about encouraging youth initiative than it has been in the past.
The open house is being held on Saturday, January 27 between 1 and 3 pm at St. James Church on 24 Mary St. in Parry Sound.
