The Canadian Blood Services Clinic is holding a blood drive from 2:00pm to 7:00pm today.
The clinic will be held at St. Peters Church- Knights of Columbus Hall and have plenty of appointments still available beginning after 3:00pm today.
Territory Manager for Canadian Blood Services Elaine St. Pierre says the clinic is looking to collect 96 units of all blood types, but they are particularly interested in O-blood types.
“The majority of Canadians are O-positive blood type, and hospitals reach for O-negative in an emergency,” says St. Pierre.
If you’re planning to drop in, make sure you have a full belly and are well hydrated.
