OPP Charge Local Men with Stealing From Cars, Weapons Trafficking

Two local men are facing weapons charges after the OPP acted on a search warrant.

On Friday police seized a rifle, shotgun, tools, electronics, boots and eyeglasses that had been stolen from vehicles in Parry Sound. As a result of that investigation, 34-year-old Avery Nickerson was arrested and charged with two counts of break and enter a motor vehicle and steal a firearm, possession of firearm or ammunition, weapons trafficking. and a failure to comply with his probation order and theft under $5000 from a motor vehicle.

Rosswell Tabobondung,  a 34-year-old also from Parry Sound was arrested charged as well.  He facing charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, a failure to comply with his probation order and trafficking of cocaine.

The accused were held in custody and are scheduled to appear before the court in Parry Sound on November 15th.  If you know anything about these or similar incidents you’re asked to the call the West Parry Sound OPP.
