EMS toy drive set for next weekend

The Parry Sound EMS would like ambulances stuffed with toys.

Next weekend, paramedics and communication officers from the local EMS will be collecting donations and new, unwrapped toys for their annual Toy Drive.

Ambulances will be placed at these locations the Shoppers’ Drug Mart at the Parry Sound Mall, Canadian Tire and Walmart.

They’ll be at Shoppers’ on the 24th and at Canadian Tire and Walmart from the 22nd to the 24th.

The EMS will also be collecting toys along the Santa Claus Parade route which is also happening on the 24th.

Jason Predie, Parry Sound EMS spokesperson, says that last year, the EMS was able to collect nearly $1,000 which goes to serving about 350-400 local kids with toys.
