It was another great day of fundraising for the Parry Sound Salvation Army.
In the end, our listeners came through big time, with a grand total of $36,828 for the Moose FM Kids Christmas Radiothon in support of the Salvation Army.
Thanks to all the volunteers, all who donated, our sponsors (Mac Lang, Ridge At Manitou, Muskoka Lumber and Pro-Line Rentals, and Fireplace and Leisure Centre).
Special thanks to Tim Horton’s and Boston Pizza for the food and drink for our volunteers… and all who “Chowed Down” on $9,000 worth of Tim Horton Smile Cookies!
Hosts Kent Matheson and Lindsay Godin put in the hard yards, with lots of guest announcers. It was a lot of fun and all for a good cause.
Overall, the Cottage Country group of stations raised $231, 671 during each of their radiothon events. Here’s a breakdown of how much was raised in each of the other clusters:
Bracebridge Moose 99.5 FM – $93,650 for the Salvation Army
Haliburton Moose 93.5 FM – $33,213 for the Food Banks of Haliburton County
Huntsville Moose 105.5FM – $67,980 combined for both the Salvation Army and Table Soup Kitchen Foundation
Coast-to-coast, Vista Radio stations have raised nearly a million dollars for local communities.
