Carling Township Mayor Mike Konoval says he’s looking forward to working with his new council in the coming year.
“We want to complete our new community centre, we have some work to do with our rink and road work to do and our official plan needs to be looked at,” Konoval said the community centre will be open and ready to go early in 2019.
“It’s been a while since we’ve looked at the review of the official plan, some members of council have suggested we look at more backlog development so there’s not much change to the official plan,” Konoval added.
Konoval says he’s excited for the coming year and is looking forward to working with the Township’s new council. “When council and staff work well together things get done and it gives good government to the ratepayer. That’s what I’m looking forward to in the next term.”
The Township of Carling will hold its next council meeting on January 14th at 9:00am.Â
