The Hall Construction Peewees have advanced and will be playing the Ennismore Eagles in quarter final play.
The local Peewees took their OMHA Peewee B series with the Penetang Flames in 3 straight, winning Saturday’s game three by a 7-1 score.
On the Bantam side the Ritchie Insurance Bantams did all proud, but bowed out to the Penetang Flames in three games, losing a heartbreaker at home on Saturday by a single goal 4-3.
In the GMHL, the Almaguin Spartans headed into the weekend with hopes of turning things around as the regular season gets closer to an end.
On Friday night the Spartans put 2 more points between them and Meaford as they down the Knights 6-2.
Then Sunday the Spartans gained ground on second place Ville Marie when they downed the Pirates 7-6 to wrap up the weekend alone in 5th in the GMHL North.
The Spartans will play Ville Marie again on Thursday when they cross the border into Quebec.
