Museum on Tower Hill is remembering the ‘Forgotten Communities’ of fishing villages in Parry Sound

The Museum on Tower Hill is inviting you to visit the history of Parry Sound’s fishing villages.

The ‘Forgotten Communities’ exhibit revisits the rise and fall of commercial fishing in the district. What started as a booming industry in the 1800s soon died out due to over-fishing and invasive species in the 1940s.

The exhibit runs from March until December and there will be an opening reception held at the Museum next Wednesday starting at 6pm. Find more details on the upcoming exhibit here.
