Lots of rain heading for Parry Sound

We could be in for a lot of rain.

Environment Canada is calling for between 20 and 40mm to fall between Wednesday morning and Thursday. This comes as Parry Sound is still under a Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry flood warning. That warning is in place until Friday, after being extended twice already.

Water levels are starting to drop in most cases, but that could change depending on how much rain we get this week. Environment Canada says the ground has limited ability to absorb further rainfall.

The agency is keeping an eye on the situation and will issue for updates as needed.
