One day strike to affect N.N.D.S.B. Elementary School Students

It will be another day off for some children this Wednesday, January 29^th.

ETFO Teachers (Elementary) have announced a one-day full withdrawal of services/walkout on for select

boards including the Near North District School Board.

The School Board has announced that due to safety concerns including inability to provide

the required supervision to students, a full withdrawal of services will result in schools being

closed to all elementary students (Grades JK-8) on January 29^th. This includes Grade 7

and 8 students who attend Intermediate/Secondary Schools.

All Early Years Programs; Childcare, School Aged Programs and Early On Child

and Family Centres will remain open. Community Use will run as usual.
