Woman Facing Impaired Driving Charges Following Car Crash

West Parry Sound OPP is charging a woman following a single motor vehicle collision.

On Friday, OPP responded to an incident at the intersection of Highway 559 and Nobel Road in Carling Township.

Upon speaking with the driver, officers concluded alcohol had been consumed and the driver was transported to the West Parry Sound OPP detachment for further testing.

Police are charging a 37-year old woman of Wasauksing First Nation with two counts of operating a vehicle while impaired.

The woman was given a 90-day license suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment.

She will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on June 18.
