Member Of West Parry Sound OPP Tests Positive For COVID-19

OPP has confirmed that a member of the West Parry Sound Detachment has tested positive with COVID-19.

Following advice from public health officials, the member is in isolation and following the recommended health protocols.

The member’s name is being withheld out of respect for their privacy.

The OPP say they were made aware of the respective diagnosis on April 10 and note the individual did not experience symptoms while at work.

They note they remain committed to the health and safety of their members and will continue to make decisions to help limit the spread of COVID-19 in the communities they serve.
