ATV Driver Charged For Driving Impaired

A Burks Falls man is facing charges for operating an ATV while impaired.

Almaguin Highlands OPP says on Friday around 8:30 p.m., they along with the North East Region Snowmachine, All Terrain Vehicle, Vessel, Enforcement Unit (NER S.A.V.E.) responded to a traffic complaint on Ferguson road.

Upon investigating, police arrested a 34-year-old man.

The man is facing charges that include operation while impaired by alcohol, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80-plus and driving with cannabis readily available.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on August 27, in Sundridge.
