West Parry Sound OPP has laid fraud charges against a pair of individuals.
On Tuesday, around 12 p.m., members of the OPP responded to a fraud complaint from a local Parry Sound bank.
As a result of the investigation, two people were arrested and charged.
A 48-year-old man from London faces multiple charges including possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, using, dealing and acting on forged documents, fraud over $5000, counterfeiting stamps, identity theft, possession of an identity document and personation with intent to obtain property.
Meanwhile, a 45-year-old woman from Orillia is charged with the same offences and is also charged with failure to comply with an undertaking.
Both remain in police custody and will appear for a bail hearing at Parry Sound’s Ontario Court of Justice on May 22, 2020.
