PARRY SOUND, ON-The West Parry Sound OPP has laid impaired operation charges after responding to a boat collision.
Yesterday, around 11:40 p.m., the police, along with the Parry Sound District EMS, responded to a single vessel crash at Big Sound Marina on Bay Street.
It was reported that a boat had struck a break wall surrounding the area, causing the driver to be transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Â
While speaking to the operator, police concluded that alcohol had been consumed, which led to further testing.Â
As a result of the investigation, the 25-year-old of Wasausking First Nation was charged with operation while impaired and having a high blood alcohol level.Â
The accused has been issued a 90-day Administrative Drivers Licence Suspension and a court date for October 15th.
