Phone scams are making the rounds in the region.
On Thursday, the North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit announced that it had been made aware of a public scam from a concerned member of the public.
The person called the Health Unit to inquire about a call they received to take part in a phone survey from the health unit.
The caller, who pretends to be an employee, asks questions about the individual’s COVID-19 status, pets and the number of people in their home.

The Health Unit says it is not conducting any such survey and if you receive a suspicious call like this – do not share your personal information and call the police to report it.
