Three COVID-19 patents have recovered and two new cases were reported in the North Bay Parry Sound district Thursday.
The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit gave the update, confirming one case, reported in Nipissing and currently self-isolating, is in a 20 to 39-year-old and was contracted through close contact of a case.
The other case is related to the Outbreak declared in Lakeland Long Term care home Thursday morning, and is currently hospitalized.
This brings the total number of active cases of COVID-19 in the region to 29, with 437 tests conducted on the last day.
The health unit will also be providing an update Friday at 4 PM to address the increasing number of positive tests in the region as well as the provincial shutdown.
