NNDSB installing new air filtration units in schools by Sunday

Schools under the Near North District School Board will be fitted with portable classroom air filtration units by Sunday.

In a release sent Friday morning, the NNDSB said they have received $356,200 from the province to optimize air quality in schools.

They say staff are in the process of installing the new heating and ventilation systems, with the installation of all other equipment expected to be complete by the end of January.

The board says the new units will optimize air quality in schools and will improve the well-being of students and staff in the region.
