One more recovery and one new case of COVID-19 in Parry Sound Monday

One new case of COVID-19 was added to Parry Sound over the weekend.

The local health unit reported one recovery in the district as well, bringing the total active case count back to three.

In Nipissing, the health unit reported no recoveries and two new cases bringing that district up to three active cases of the virus.

Of the new cases, two are between the age of 20 and 39-years, and one is 60 to 79-years old.

One was reported to contract the virus through community transmission, one through close contact and the third is still being investigated. All three are now self-isolating.

The health unit has done 1,704 tests for COVID-19 since Friday.
