Friday sees one new case of COVID-19, no new recoveries in Parry Sound

The local health unit is reporting one new case of COVID-19 in Parry Sound Friday.

No recoveries were added bringing the district up to two active cases of the virus.

Nipissing saw one new case and no new recoveries putting that district’s active case count at seven.

Both new cases are 60 to 79-year olds who are currently self-isolating.

One case got the virus through community transmission and the other is still being investigated. 

The health unit says it’s done another 566 tests for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
