A 29-year-old is facing charges in relation to the theft of two motor vehicles, one from Port Carling and one from Seguin.
Police say around 7 AM on Aug. 12 officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft on Hatherley Road in Seguin Township. According to OPP, police discovered a second vehicle that was reported stolen at the scene.
West Parry Sound OPP Media Officer Constable Joe Scali says a vehicle was reported stolen from a residence in Port Carling around 11 PM the night before . According to Scali, the accused drove the stolen vehicle to a location on Hatherley Road in Seguin where he left it and stole another vehicle before the police were able to locate him.
A 29-year-old man from Huron-Kinloss Township faces the following five charges;~
- Theft over $5000 of a motor vehicle
- Possession of property obtained by crime – over $5000 (two count)
- Possession of property obtained by crime – under $5000
- Fail to comply with probation order
Police say the accused was kept in custody with a court appearance set for Wednesday August 16.
