Around 15 centimeters of snow is expected today.
A snowfall warning has been issued by Environment Canada.
Officials say heavy snow will push through the region this afternoon and into the evening. Peak snowfall rates of three to five centimeters per hour are expected to significantly reduce visibility.
The heavy snow will taper to light flurries this evening. An additional two centimeters of snowfall is possible overnight.
