There’s still time to take part in the Northern Policy Institute’s (NPI) measurement month.
Officials at NPI have teamed up with organizations across the region for the third annual information-gathering effort.
The idea is to collect consistent, comparable data to inform decision-making at the local, regional, provincial, and national level for Northern Ontario.
Four surveys are available online until Feb. 22 with the themes including racism, reconciliation, welcoming, and individual well-being:
1. Employer Survey – Measuring and assessing the ability of employers to meet the unique needs of immigrants and diverse groups. The survey can be taken here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmE24
2. Individual Well-Being Survey- Measuring and assessing various dimensions of individual well-being in Northern Ontario communities. Here is a link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmIWB24
3. New Arrival Survey – Measuring and assessing the experiences of individuals who recently moved to a Northern Ontario community.
The survey can be taken here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmNA24
4. Experiences with Racism Survey – Measuring and assessing individual experiences and perceptions of racism in Northern Ontario communities.
Here is a link to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/mmER24
Officials say the results of the surveys will be generalized in reports published by the Northern Policy Institute and other partners.
