The West Parry Sound OPP is urging drivers and boaters to act responsibly this Canada Day long weekend.
Const. Brandon Charlebois said residents should be cautious when navigating busy roads and waterways.
“We all know it gets busy on our area roads and highways. So, whether you are heading out to do some holiday celebrations or staying closer to home, we just want to remind everyone to stay alert and stay sober. If you are around any waterways, please wear a lifejacket,” he said.
Charlebois said local police will be actively patrolling local highways, lakes and Georgian Bay all weekend long.
