A 37-year-old American man is in Canadian Border Service Agency custody after a West Parry Sound OPP investigation.
Police say local officers responded to reports of a suspicious person yelling behind a business in town on Monday.
After speaking with the man, who identified as American, police called border services to confirm if the person entered the country legally. The OPP says he was then arrested under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.
The accused was transferred into the custody of the Canadian Border Service Agency for further investigation.
