The fire danger rating across the Parry Sound District has increased to high, ahead of the Civic holiday long weekend.
That’s according to Carling Fire Chief Gord Harrison, who announced the change to the current rating on Aug. 1.
With a high rating campfires are still permitted. However, no open burning is allowed, no fireworks are allowed, and all burn permits are suspended.
