There were 173 job postings recorded in the Parry Sound District in June.
According to the Labour Market Group (LMG), that’s a slight month-over-month increase (8.8%) from the previous month’s total of 159, and a slight increase (3.6%) from the June 2023 figure of 167.
The number of unique employers (84) was “nearly identical” to the previous month’s figure of 81.
The top five are:
- Near North District School Board
- West Parry Sound Health Centre
- Eastholme Home for the Aged
- Walmart – Parry Sound
- Canadian Mental Health Association
Health Care & Social Assistance was the top hiring industry with more than a third (37.6%) of all the job postings in March.
Educational Service (14.5%) was a distant second followed by Retail Trade (13.9%).
