The nearly $350,000 rehabilitation of the Seguin Street bridge will begin Aug. 26.
According to town officials, the bridge’s sidewalks and timber on the underside of the bridge need to be repaired, and a portion of an aluminum guard rail needs to be replace.
Manager of Operations, Vinni Bonazza, says the bridge will be reduced to one lane while the work takes place.
The section of the fitness trail located below the bridge will also be closed to accommodate the repairs.
The project is expected to be completed by mid-October.
