The Town of Parry Sound will be continuing to provide incentives for local buisness owners looking to give their storefront a facelift.
A revised Facade Grant Program document was presented to council on Sept. 17. The document includes updated eligibility criteria, suggested colours schemes and themes, and other ideas.
Councillor George Ashford says the goal of the program is to encourage business owners to help beautify the downtown.
“We are providing this opportunity for people, and you can see the transformation that Legends Spirits Co. underwent with our program in order to make that part of town much more magical,” he said.
“It certainly inspires me to imagine further and hopefully it inspires the community to imagine further.”
Grants will be made available for primary and secondary building façade improvements, outdoor signage improvements and landscape improvements.
Council opted to postpone approval of the document until October in order to collect feedback from business owners and residents.
