The OPP will be out patrolling local roads and highways leading up to the Thanksgiving long weekend, and they’ll have some help from above.
A place from OPP aviation services will be working with officers on the ground, to spot dangerous drivers and remove them from the road.
Officers will be focusing on the “big four” factors in serious and fatal collisions – aggressive driving, inattentive driving, impaired driving and seatbelts.
Police say aggressive driving includes, speeding, unsafe lane changes and following too closely, among other things.
Police did not provide the specific locations where aerial enforcement will take place, saying it could be on major highways, or secondary roads.
