The Municipality of Whitestone has hired a new chief administrative officer and clerk.
Nigel Black will replace current CAO Michelle Hendry, who is retiring after seven years with the municipality.
Black has 27 years of experience in the municipal sector, and spent the last 15 years as the CAO for the Town of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland.
He will join Whitestone staff on December 9th.
“I believe Nigel’s skills and personality will be an excellent fit for Whitestone”, said Mayor
George Comrie. “I look forward to working with him in the days ahead. He brings a wealth of
experience to our municipality that will stand us in good stead as we continue to plan for and
develop our future”.
