Township of the Archipelago CAO set to retire

The Township of the Archipelago is looking for a new chief administrative officer.

Current CAO John Fior will be retiring on March 31, 2025, after a 35-year career in public service.

Fior spend that last seven years working for the local township, and was integral in the development of a 2022 to 2026 strategic plan.

“John had done a fantastic job of building an excellent staff team during his tenure. He is
leaving the Township well positioned for future success,” said Reeve Bert Liverance.

At a meeting last week, council appointed a recruiting committee and hired a consultant to lead the search for a new CAO.
