West Parry Sound OPP encouraging residents to stay safe this Halloween

The West Parry Sound OPP are encouraging both pedestrians and drivers to be more cautious on Halloween night, as more people will be out and about.

OPP Constable Brandon Charlebois offers the following Halloween safety tips:

  • trick-or-treat in familiar neighbourhoods
  • only go to houses that are well lit, and participating in Halloween
  • bring a flashlight or wear reflective material
  • be mindful of traffic and look both ways before crossing the street
  • check your candy before eating it and dispose of any with broken packaging or packaging that appears to have been tampered with
